Typing Speeds Chart

I took a typing speed test in Learn2Type.com. My typing speed was 45 wpm with 2 errors.

What I did this week

This week, in IT class, we took a test on hardware and we also studied more hardware components of a computer. We also saw Intel journey inside videos which helped me understand the components of a computer a lot.

My current typing speed became slower!:( My speed was 45 AWPM but now it’s 41 AWPM. At least I only got two errors. This is a chart I have made.

What I’ve been up to in IT class

This week in IT class we were finishing up our mini unit in finding good information, deciding it if it is good and evaluating it by using a four step process called domain names and code, date, authorship, and who is sponsoring it. We are going to take a test on this unit and we also did a webquest in how to evaluate information. We also learned some new and cool tools to evaluate sites. The Wayback machine, WHOIS look-up tool and Rumour page.

IT IS THE LAST QUARTER!

As I said in the title it is the end of the race now. It is 4th quarter which means it is the last quarter. That are 37 days left of school which thrills me and we finished our tutorials. We are starting a new unit and it is finally April.

Reflection on Grade 7

This new year of 2009, my classmates and I created and learned various qualities about podcasts. I learned the interesting facts of podcasts: they are audio files that can be downloaded via the internet. It’s so interesting for it is like your ownradio broadcasting station for you can add an audio file that you made into a free podcasting site. I also learned that the upgraded version of the podcast is the vodcast which is a video file that can be downloaded via the internet as well; although we didn’t really work in depth with vodcasts. Podcasts can be made with software programs such as Audacity and Windows Movie Maker. I would like to know more sites that are related with podcasts and I also want to learn if we can delete our own podcast or edit the podcast. I want to create vodcasts as well. I can start networking and blogging by using podcasts because I can share the podcast with the world by making it public. I can post podcasts into my blog or the link in order to let people check out my blog by advertising it and tagging it.

What I did in IT class

This week in IT class, we continued working on the interesting podcast and RSS feeds which lets information come to me and updates as well.  We are also going to make a podcast as a group and will work on VOIP. Skype is another thing we are going to work on which is similar as Naver phone.
